Two weeks ago, I attended the finale night of L.A. Fashion Weekend at Sunset Gower Studios, which showcased collections from four designers: Civil Society, Division E, Zanerobe and Buffalo David Bitton.
Below are some select shots I snapped during the show. Yes, these are from the (far off) angle from where I was sitting but thought it would be more interesting to show you the looks as how I saw them walking toward me, along with the audience’s reaction to the collections. Plus, if you look really closely at the front row, you will spot celebs Mena Suvari, Shaun Sipos (Melrose Place) and Nicholas Gonzales (Melrose Place).
First up was menswear designer Civil Society. Modern with an edge, the overall vibe of the collection was hip but not overly done.
Next was Division E, showing off soft jersey dresses that you could throw on if you had only five minutes to get dressed and run out the door still looking effortless.
The standout and audience favorite was Zanerobe. With the models sporting athletic gear and feather headdresses, you couldn’t help but fall for the line.
