It’s always fun to take a walk down memory lane and see how much you’ve evolved over the past year. I suppose that’s another reason why I’m glad I decided to start this blog. When I’m long gone, SwB will serve as a testament and reminder of what I did/wore/felt/loved during a carefree time in my life in which I’m still trying to figure out me. Can you imagine looking at your blog and getting to re-live your style memories when you’re 50? We should all plan a 20-year reunion from now, or rather a first-time meeting if we don’t get the chance to meet in present-day real life. Hilarious… and at the same time, I kind of like that idea.
I posted these photos around this time last year, and times they are a-changin’. Goodbye digital point and shoot camera, old apartment (rooftop background for photos) and brown hair. I still love cutouts but haven’t worn this dress recently, and the same goes for these fishnet arm sleeves. As things change naturally over time though, you can always count on that one constant in your life.
I still wear my vintage Justin Roper boots practically four times a week.
Best $20 I ever spent.
Onward and upward. xoxo

lady, respect. this is going up on your boy’s tumblr next week.
Geez Becs, damn gorgeous woman. Well done.
A reunion would be awesome though I would be too old by the time you reach 50. Hahaha!
You are gorgeous… that dress is so fierce. Love the boots. xoxo
That dress is still rocking and fits you like a glove.
I feel the same way about my style. Even going through my old Photobucket albums, I wonder so many times, ‘WHAT was I thinking?!’
But I think we’ve reached a stage where we become a little more self aware, and we can sort of visualize how we’ll see ourselves in the future. Though, man, even photos from the past few months, I have the ‘What the heck was I wearing?!’ moments.
Ah, that dress! I love it on you Becs!! Black looks stunning on you and the cut-outs are always sexy! Hope you’re having a fabulous weekend!! xoxoxoxoxo
This is such great post, i completely agree with you. I had a blog for around 2 years about 2 years before opening my current one, so its quite old and my boyfriend & I looked through it the other day and it brings back so many memories.
The dress is great you should wear it more then!
