Just some photos snapped (among other random, never before published ones) over the weekend during a KFC-filled picnic in Griffith Park with my new Dolce Vita Pela wedges. Smart is wearing those wedges to the park only to trounce through dirt-ridden grassy patches, and smart is also wearing all black while laying out in the 80 degree heat.
Yesterday I picked up those faux suede 4″ platforms (above) from Forever 21. The same style is also available online with tiny polka dots. Sadly I needed to return the Jessica Simpson Dany shoes because, as hard as I tried, I just couldn’t walk in those heels without imagining myself falling down and breaking my ankle. Since I don’t wear heels on a daily basis, I’ve developed this magical awkward aversion to them, aka I walk terribly slowly and more cautiously. However, these F21 shoes are way more manageable. Next up on my Fall shopping list — socks and thigh-highs screaming to be paired with my new platforms.

great combination of photos. i love the reflection in the sunglasses! p.s. totally know what you mean about the heels… i’m hopeless in them. always buy but never wear because i always get ones that are impractical. next on my list are some wedges that i can actually walk in for longer than 5min. xx
You’re making me want the Dolce Vita Pelas SO badly, haha. I did find them in black, but I just had a little fender bender and can’t even imagine buying them.
I bought the polka dot version online! They’re going to be here on Friday <3 I love them since they're undoubtedly Miu Miu knock-offs. I've been eying the block heel for months and the F21 version will gladly satisfy my need.

Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere was just wearing those same F21 Mary J’s, they looked great on. Obvi I didn’t see them when I was in the store last weekend grrrr. I’m not great in heels either sometimes, hence my belief in wedges. And boots. Always boots.

I feel the same way about my Jessica Simpson Dany’s! I just got them a few weeks ago, and I’m terrified of them! I’ve worn them out once, and it’s going to take a lot of coaxing (or drinks, lol!) to get me to wear them out again! However, I am loving those Forever 21 shoes you picked up! They definitely look much more manageable!

Those heels are gorgeous. I feel the same way about heels– they have to possess a certain degree of stability or I know I won’t wear them at all. All of my higher shoes are either wedges or super chunky heels.

also love your F21 shoes, I really wanted a pair of wedge booties from them but they sold out online, also loving the polk-a-dot mary janes super cute. I have been wanting the JS dany for so long, and was planning on making them my next shoe purchase, but now wish I could try them on before.. I am also not the best with high heels… I can do wedges but the straight on heels are always more tricky
