VENTURED into foreign territory when I picked up these distressed skinny jeans since white denim hasn’t graced this behind in years. Without fail, I’ve managed to unintentionally kick my foot through the knee holes every single time I wiggle into these tight-ass jeans. Luckily, distressed denim is forgiving in that sense.

Hope your weekend was as relaxing as mine, and that you were able to take a moment to observe Memorial Day. Yesterday started off with getting woken up by a call from my college friend Steve who is currently stationed in Germany — before that he was in Afghanistan. After 2+ years of being stationed abroad, he will be transferring to a base in Florida pretty soon. Great news around a holiday that saddens many seems almost bittersweet, but big shout to Steve — who always asks me about my blog — WELCOME HOME, BUDDY!

Hey Becs! This is the like what I want to wear everyday! Distressed jeans are perfect for summer! It’s always great to hear from you and I love that your blog keeps looking better and better. I haven’t bought anything from Topshop but I did splurge a lot on Zara though. And when H & M finally opens, you can bet I’ll have no money! What are your plans for summer? xoxoxoo

Okay, so your jeans are distressed perfection, and I LOVE that head scarf. Between the head scarf and oversized sunnies you look like an incognito celebrity straight out of the Hollywood Glamour Era – I LOVE!

Welcome home to Steve! That is wonderful that he will be transferring to Florida soon!

P.S. I have a closet full of Converse sneakers that I haven’t worn in years; but I am totally contemplating getting a pair of ASH high-tops – they remind me so much of the ones seen at Isabel Marant! :)
