Within the first year of moving to Los Angeles, I worked at a TV production company based in the valley. Unfortunately for us, there were only two places within walking distance for lunch — a donut shop that also sold sandwiches and El Pollo Loco. Being from the northeast, El Pollo Loco was foreign to me since the fast (food) chicken chain only has locations in the southwest and Texas. Cut to lunchtime when my co-worker would head to El Pollo Loco on a routine basis and shout, “Heading to Crazy Chicken, if anyone wants anything!” The kicker? I never got why he’d call it ‘crazy chicken’ until maybe two years later. Si, el stupido!
If I had the luxury to drop $500 on a backpack, you bet I’d spend it on this one! Haven’t used a backpack since my junior high school days, when choosing THE perfect JanSport backpack became my biggest dilemma. I’d take this with me anywhere from weekend flea markets to lazy Sundays at the park. And how good is the combo of gray flannel and brown leather? If you do have the luxury to drop the dough, pick up the Penelope Chilvers rucksack online.
MEN’S SWEATERS (aside from a button down): One of the few times you can get away with the illest (worst) fit and it’s still perfectly acceptable because you’re borrowing from your guy. I’m all about graphic and texture sweaters right now, with the jacquard pattern being high on my shopping priority list.
These gems are just a click away in the Men’s section!
