Side hip is the new side boob… when you don’t have boobs, am I right?
Spent Saturday afternoon playing dress up with some blogger loveys, courtesy of new Los Angeles-based online shop AlleyCat Trade. Seriously, put us all together with a rack full of amazing clothes and it is one helluva good time.
Specially curated with a slew of my favorite Australian designers, including Shakuhachi, Bec & Bridge and Alice McCall, AlleyCat Trade is making those pieces that I lust after on international, non-U.S. shipping e-shops accessible to us here in the states.
Yea yea, so I’m currently a Droid gal but since I like to keep my options open, last week, I headed over to Pier 59 in Santa Monica to check out the latest and greatest Windows Phones, including the newly launched Windows Phone 7.5. A welcome change from the usual fashion-y events, I got to play with the new phones (which are quite impressive), listen to a live performance by MuteMath and hang amongst a tech-enthusiastic crowd. An all-around good time.
Just lounging around in leather, you know, your standard Sunday outfit.
My #1 must-have this winter? The varsity jacket. Every single damn day. It’s the comeback kid in outerwear, and reminds me of the good ole days when I was physically fit (being skinny doesn’t = toned), rocking my maroon and white leather sleeve varsity track & field jacket in high school.
The last few weeks have seemed like a blur — in the best way possible. I mean, I could have swore it was just Thanksgiving, and yet, turkey day now seems like weeks ago. Events galore, work and holiday get-togethers are to blame thank for the time flies when you’re having fun feeling.
Hate to post and run, but I’ll be back to a regular schedule soon. Thanks for bearing with me!
Just a few sneak peeks of a fun shoot I did this weekend with amazing photographers Carmen Chan and Ken Wu for How I Met Your Style. After shooting in my bedroom, we headed up to the rooftop, taking advantage of the gorgeous sunset against the Hollywood Hills. You will all love HIMYS, so check it out NOW.
Thanks so much to Carmen and Ken for working their magic! Can’t wait to show you the rest of the photos and profile with Mel!
