Céline Dion FOREVER.
Céline Dion FOREVER.
Now that we’re in December, it’s officially holiday party season! How lovely/handsome/spiffy do my work colleagues look at our company holiday party?! Since I’m petite, I tend to be loyal to bodycon dresses but I wanted something a bit more flirty AND breathable. Enter this gold number by Keepsake from Nasty Gal – THE perfect party dress!

Calling this look my autumn effect. On a non-print wearing day, I enjoy the challenge of combing through my closet to see which complementary colors I can pair together. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. But when it does — like this time — I’m reminded about the necessity of stocking up on varying shades of colors that fall into the same family.
I’ll be back to posting regularly now that (real) life has calmed down a bit. Hope you’ve all been well!
Only for The Tonight Show With Jay Leno will I break out sequins for daytime wear. My lovely mom is in town visiting from the east coast which explains my brief absence from here. Always love showing out-of-town guests around because you get to pretend you’re a tourist for a few days. Also enjoy the satisfaction of showing things that you love to someone and witnessing them love those things equally as much. One of the best feelings!
While we spent most of yesterday enduring the chilly weather outside while waiting for the taping of The Tonight Show, it all paid off because we got to meet Jay Leno during the warm-up and take a photo with him! YES. Good thing that happened since it’s unlikely I’ll spend nearly four hours just waiting to go into an hour-long taping again!
Happy, happy Friday!
It’s crazy to fathom how beautiful one part of the country can be while another is going through such devastation. This was my weekend — passing out in the sun on a quiet day at the beach. A kind of day you should never take for granted. I’m from New Jersey (grew up going to the Jersey Shore — yes, the Jersey Shore on TV) and went to school in Maryland, so a good majority of my loved ones have been affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Hang in there, east coast fam. Thinking about you all.
