FOR JAPAN WITH LOVE

As a day of respect and to acknowledge the devastation in Japan, I’ll be uniting with bloggers from around the world in a day of silence tomorrow, March 18.  What that means is StylewithBenefits will be dark tomorrow, as in no tweeting, posting here or updating my Tumblr. It’s a day to remember the victims and also raise awareness for how you can assist by making a donation to ShelterBox.

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most. To learn more, please visit Ever Ours and Utterly Engaged.

Style Scoping at WWDMAGIC, Project & Capsule

capsule show, sartorially inclined

Lawrence of Sartorially Inclined at Capsule (also former Menday contributor)

Noteworthy: ROTM double monk straps, subtle splash of color with light blue handkerchief, sharp looking sports coat

wwdmagic style, lf stores

Alexandra of LF Stores at WWDMAGIC

Noteworthy: pulling off a chic head to toe black ensemble (with the exception of the brown belt and blue bag – love) and her perfectly ombre hair

project lv street style, caminando

Gentlemen of Caminando (Japanese shoe brand based in Tokyo) at Project

Noteworthy: hats, great prints and boots (obvi!) made these guys stand out (in a good way)

project show street style

Marcus of Marcus Troy at Project

Noteworthy: sweater cardigan, rolled pants and a great man bag to tote around

wwdmagic street style

Alexis of Place Los Angeles with Lucca Couture at WWDMAGIC

Noteworthy: half-tuck done right, great jewelry and sparkly threads on Alexis’ top

wwdmagic street style

Kristen, designer of Blue Bird, at WWDMAGIC

Noteworthy: tying a side knot in her top, making a summery skirt winter appropriate by adding the buckle boots

capsule show style

Mr. Dool of Mr. Dool at Capsule

Noteworthy: gray contrast white collar shirt, pins on the denim jacket (great touch!) and a nice smile to top it off

wwdmagic

Emanuel of Bengjof Couture at WWDMAGIC

Noteworthy: Everything.  And pulling off orange FTW.

capsule show style

Jasmine, stylist and Creative Director of Boxing Kitten, at Capsule

Noteworthy: sheer blouse under blazer, playful print Boxing Kitten pants, and stacked bangles

project lv street style, hollywood trading company

Paola of Hollywood Trading Company at Project

Noteworthy: the mix of neutrals with the gray scarf and tan cardigan wrap completes an understated, casual chic look

Admittedly, I enjoyed checking out the show style of attendees, sales reps and creative directors just as much as I liked viewing the collections.  These folks were some of my favorites from the three shows I visited inVegas — WWDMAGIC, Project and Capsule.
