poor form + poor hangtime = lamesauce

Harem pants are not conducive to split jumps… neither is attempting a split jump when you are massively out of shape. This is double lamesauce.
American Apparel top. H&M pants. Aldo boots. Urban Outfitters hat
I’m crazy for prints right now, and pulled out my H&M floral pants yesterday. I’ve worn these ridiculous pants HERE but wanted to pair them with a simple cropped top. Desperately need a new black hat since I’ve managed to wear this one all summer long, despite it being wool. That’s the thing about living in LA… my seasons all blend together. I never really put away any of my winter clothing because I tend to layer up at night.
My weekend was capped off with some yummy dim sum.

Ugh, I hate Mondays. Here’s to kicking Monday in the ass. Hard.

Zara dress. Billabong vest via Swell.com. Aldo boots
I’m back. Well, no, I didn’t go anywhere; I just took one of those unannounced mini-breaks. Sometimes you need to get away, and sometimes you wonder why you stayed away for so long. (I think I just paraphrased a Carrie quote from SATC.) Picked up this silk floral dress from the Zara August collection on Saturday. It’s perfect to wear for Sunday brunch or to traverse down countless aisles at the Pasadena City College Flea Market, which I did yesterday. If you’re looking for another worthwhile LA flea market to check out, definitely head to the PCC one, held every first Sunday of each month. Um, excuse me, but where did July go? I hate when I feel as if time is just passing me by. The only plus? The notion of wearing my loose-fitting, oversized sweaters again is at the forefront of my brain as I revisit Fall RTW collections.

Maurie & Eve jacket via Mycatwalk.com. Urban Renewal shorts. Steven by Steve Madden Adeson Ankle Boots via Endless.com
I’ll do a ‘proper’ outfit post, but in the meantime, wanted to show you my current wardrobe loves. Got this Maurie & Eve jacket on sale via Mycatwalk.com and it is, in one word, amazing. If you want to immediately touch my heart, give me some leopard print and leather… together. These photos don’t do the jacket justice as there are pyramid gold buttons in the front, gold zippers on the sleeves, and the leopard print extends to the entire back.
Thanks to free overnight shipping from Endless.com, I received these Steven by Steve Madden Adeson Ankle Boots yesterday and I highly recommend getting them. If you are a fan of front foldovers or flaps on boots, you will adore these. The photos on Endless.com really don’t do the boot justice with the buttons done up all the way. I initially had seen them on Shopbop.com so check them out there if you’re interested. If I had the funds, I’d get these in a second color since they also come in black and olive.
Oh yes, and my hair’s shorter. Making my life uncomplicated one step at a time.

Wish more U.S. retailers sold Australian designer Tristan Blair’s collections. Did I mention I’m slightly obsessed with Australian designers? Something must be in the water there because they are killing it.
These are my favorites from his AW 10 collection:
“Wasted Medicine”
p.s. I’m going to start closing comments if I feel as if I won’t have time to respond to comments, aka today. It’s important to me that I do respond to everyone and I’m way behind (apologies!).
As always, thanks so much for stopping by.
