Vintage wrap via We Move Vintage at LA Flea Market. Urban Outfitters top. H&M shorts. Vintage Cole Haan shoes
Picked up this oversized cocoon-like wrap at the LA Flea Market this past weekend from We Move Vintage. It instantly caught my eye with its 80s flair and built-in shoulder pads. I also got the gold HOPE double connector ring at the LA Flea Market. Of course, due to the extreme heat, I thought the ring fit me when I initially tried it on but now it doesn’t. So I stacked my F21 bird connector ring on top of it and voilà, I can now wear it.
Overall, the first LA Flea Market at Dodger Stadium was so-so. While the presence of multiple food trucks was a highlight (hello rajas fries), food doesn’t trump vendor quality. And so, will I be going to the LA Flea Market next month? Probably not. But I may go back in a few months to see if the number of vintage vendors have expanded. For now, I’ll stick with the Rose Bowl Flea Market and the occasional trek to Long Beach to check out the Antique Market (highly recommended).

Cutting right to the chase, we met Chanel Iman!
A few weeks ago Mel and I met up with Nora from Fashion + Geometry and her boyfriend Ryan at the Vintage Expo in Santa Monica. Though I was a bit bummed to walk out empty-handed, I was stocked that we had the chance to meet, let alone spot, the model sensation. Chanel was super sweet and naturally gorgeous. I love her sweater cardigan.

Me, Nora & Mel
Wearing American Apparel cropped top & double zipper leggings. Hurley vest. Topshop boots & bag

This photo cracks me up, mainly because I can’t believe how much air we managed to get.
Thanks to Ryan for our mini photo sesh outside of the Expo and capturing our silliness and giggle-fest session. Yes, I just said giggle. Rarely do I use that word, but that’s what naturally ensued after several attempts at prolonging our hang time.
It’s funny that something as small as jumping in the air can make you feel jovial. I also look like I’m 13.
Hope your weekend is as carefree as this photo.

H&M sweater. Phamous shorts via Pixie Market. Jeffrey Campbell Biz Belted Booties. Marc Jacobs sunglasses. Vintage belt, necklace and watches
These fuzzy leopard print shorts from Pixie Market and this hole-y sweater from H&M are my new favorite wardrobe additions. Since the shorts are warm and fuzzy, I’ve convinced myself that they will be suitable for winter wear (with tights) and look forward to pairing them with an oversized blazer and boots.
Yesterday Mel and I went to the Long Beach Flea Market, and while it isn’t as large as the Rose Bowl one, I still had fun scouring cases of antique jewelry and digging through piles of watches. I ended up buying the three vintage watches above for a total of $8. Best spent money since I bought my ‘Chanel’ necklace last weekend at the Rose Bowl for $5. Loves it.
If we already aren’t following eachother on Twitter, follow me here.
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! xo, Becs
Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones,
We see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think
they can change the world,
Are the ones who do.”

Zara blazer. Rampage lace top. Urban Outfitters bandeau, belt and shoes. Express shorts. Topshop earrings
Yes, LA has the terrible traffic, but when it’s still 70 degree something weather in November, I can’t complain (reason I’m wearing these shorts). I’m glad I never got rid of this 8+ year old lace number from Rampage because it has come in handy for layering things over and underneath it.
Picked up the oversized blazer (with shoulder pads – Score!), necklace and fringe boots at the Rose Bowl Flea Market this past weekend. The blazer is actually from We Move Vintage (new LA online vintage boutique) and joins my ever-growing collection of black blazers. Not to mention I’m eagerly anticipating the arrival of this gem from Nasty Gal Vintage.

Usually I’d wish you all a Happy Hump Day but just attempted to search for another term and discovered that some people refer to it as ‘the week’s belly button’. So happy ‘the week’s bellybutton’! Just doesn’t sound the same… xoxo
