When I’m at a loss for what to wear — an occurrence that happens way more than it should – a chambray button-down paired with black skinnies is a look that never fails me. Thanks to my amazing (and patient) dad for snapping these photos when I was home on the east coast.
Just lounging around in leather, you know, your standard Sunday outfit.
My #1 must-have this winter? The varsity jacket. Every single damn day. It’s the comeback kid in outerwear, and reminds me of the good ole days when I was physically fit (being skinny doesn’t = toned), rocking my maroon and white leather sleeve varsity track & field jacket in high school.
The last few weeks have seemed like a blur — in the best way possible. I mean, I could have swore it was just Thanksgiving, and yet, turkey day now seems like weeks ago. Events galore, work and holiday get-togethers are to blame thank for the time flies when you’re having fun feeling.
Hate to post and run, but I’ll be back to a regular schedule soon. Thanks for bearing with me!
Layered ruffles, signature flowy silhouettes and gorgeous headpieces floated down the runway duringOdylyne‘s Spring 2012 showcase. Had an instant flashback to theChildlike Empressin “The Neverending Story” when I saw those intricate headpieces. I’ve followed Odylyne for a while now, and as expected, the collection did not disappoint.
For the classic gal with a playful style,Dear Creatures‘ collection hits all the right notes. With a retro-inducing vibe, the flirty dresses would be fitting for garden parties, strolls in the park and picture perfect picnic days.
Full of fun prints and key staples any lady would be lucky to have in her closet, modernFunktionalstayed true to its namesake. And those gold, sparkly shorts? They have my name written all over them!
As Nirvana played, men’s brandChamberstransported us back to the 90′s, reminding us of those days when shirts tied around your waist was in and grungy style was all the rage. Head on over HEREto see the rest of the collection, which, guaranteed, Travis from “Clueless” would have worn in a heartbeat.
If I was on a Club Med vacay, my suitcase would be filled with 71 Stanton‘s easy, breezy pieces. Versatile enough to be styled up or down, the resort-like collection is the epitome of effortless chic. Especially loved how the models’ hair was clipped in such a sophisticated, half-bun, half-ponytail way.
As the lights dimmed, rock n’ roll couture brand,Stand and Deliver, brought the bad ass. Leather, chains, studs, spikes, and exposed zippers ran wild down the runway. Throw in a few theatrical moments and Stand and Deliver… well, delivered.

G E N A R T, the leading arts and entertainment organization dedicated to showcasing emerging fashion designers, filmmakers, musicians and visual artists returned from a short break with a bang. Closing out STYLE Fashion Week LA at Vibiana and hosted by the gorg Zoe Saldana, Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion Los Angelesshowcased seven designers’ ready-to-wear Spring 2012 collections during a night that helped to bring back the spirit of a community and celebrate some amazingly talented designers. Given Fresh Faces in Fashion Los Angeles was the first event since Gen Art’s “revitalization”, a lot of love circulated through the air that night. And as cheesy as that sounds, it’s the truth.
